Dear Old Girls, Members of the past pupil’s associations and well wishers I am delighted to inform you that the opening of the Page Memorial Complex took place on 14th January, 2004. The Rt. Rev. Kumara Illangasinghe, the Bishop of Kurunegala and the Chairman of the Governing Body for C.M.S Schools unveiled the plaque and declared open the Prayer Room. The Computer Laboratory was opened by Mrs. Karuna Vimalanathan, the former Secretary of the SJC, C.G.C, P.P.A, U.K. Mrs. Sharmini Masilamany, the former President of the O.G.A, Colombo branch declared open the Auditorium, our Manager while the 3 class rooms were opened by the President of the O.G.A, Jaffna, Dr. (Mrs.) J.M. Ponnudurai. This was followed by a short service in the Prayer Room by the Rt. Rev. Kumara Illangasinghe. Inspite of it being a working day we had a good gathering of religious dignitaries, Principals of schools, Old Girls and well wishers. The celebration culminated in a tea in the dining room of the hostel where speeches by Mrs. Mahila. Rajasingham, Mrs. Karuna Vimalanathan and Mrs. Sharmini Masilamany took place. The vote of thanks was delivered by the Head Girl of the College, Premila Gnanenthiran and seconded by Thulasi Gengatharan, the Primary School Head Girl. If not for the grace of God and the generous support of all our old Girls, PPA’s here and abroad and well wishers, the dream of our Page Memorial Complex could not have been a reality. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the generous help you have rendered towards this project which is praiseworthy, Chundikuli would always remember this act of yours with gratitude.
